Elliot's Shed | Sharing equipment for our children

Elliot's Shed is a DSO initiative that has been made possible by the incredible fundraising of Kat and Seth Cornfield, parents of Elliot who sadly passed away in 2015, aged 2, after a long battle with cancer. Elliot's shed is a means of sharing equipment that is often expensive to buy for our children.

    Our Development Groups & Clubs

Early Development Groups | For pre-school children

Down’s Syndrome Oxford offers an Early Development Group for you and your child during term times, free of charge. We limit each group to four, to allow the children to observe and turn-take whilst still holding their attention. They are offered to all pre-school children after their 1st birthday, depending on availability.

Primary Development Groups | Once your child is at school

Primary Development Groups | Once your child is at school

Our Primary Development Groups are aimed at primary aged children, Year 1 to Year 6. The groups focus mainly on speech and language but we also work on reading skills as they help children improve their communication skills. Each group runs for eight weeks on Wednesdays in term time. The groups are no larger than four children in size.
